phew!

Okay, it’s already November…and my blog is like turned off.

So this is my way to revive it, with another trashy talk, kekekek….

All my life recently is about nothing but LAB WORKS.

It’s already 5 months until now I deal with those pippetes, tips, tubes, well plates, centrifuges, culture dishes, microscope, DMEMs, oral cancer cells, “the extracts”, MTT + trypan blue + sub-G1 stuffs, and yeah okay….another lab work dealing with osteoporosis, blood, DNA, and stuffs.

About the last one, me and my two friends worked so hard for it, and we had it participated in one competition, but we didn’t win. Take it as experience, though… right, mate? next time we’ll bring it internationally!

And yeah, talking about competition, I also participated in some photo competitions….BUT, okay you can guess, I didn’t win at all. Hahah, you must think now that I’m such a loser, eh?

Another subject that I must say is that I’m messing up my Japanese course, not only the quiz but also the midterm exam, doh! Still the basic one, but since I get busy with other things, I can’t focus on it…

But don’t worry happiness will come to us in the right time~~

And oh this is photo that I submitted to one of those competitions…(this is my trial for capturing something with digicam anyway, so no wonder you will find some weird elements in it, I’m a newbie in handling digicam, hahah)

Just noticed that Panic at the Disco break up!! It’s not a fresh news, but it’s me that not so music updated recently…

Honestly, I love their works on A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out and Pretty.Odd (lucky for me I had a chance to see them live in concert before they split up), and a bit shock when I knew they become halved now.

Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith still on PATD, but Ryan Ross and Jon Walker run a new band called the Young Veins.

I wonder why they break up, but I guess it’s because the difference of their music senses.

Bit Refreshment

A week has passed from APDSA 2009 Penang, so it means the new semester will be coming tomorrow!! ouch… (Ah ya, will post about APDSA later, it’s already on the list). Because of that, I try to cheerish each days left before back to daily routine.

So it was yesterday, the last Saturday nite from this long holiday. Had a plan to watch a movie on 3.10 pm, but we got late, so we bought the 7.30 pm tickets. And the special thing is, I was fasting on that day, and Sushi Tei didn’t give us a chance to sneak in, hahah, so better we got another one: Pasta de Waraku!

It’s 6 pm, so we started to break our fasting: sweet ice tea plus the dates (thanks for giving it free)

Next round is buy one get one pizza: so lucky us there’s such a promo, so it would be nice not to ignore it, one pan Unagi Pizza plus another Salmon Mushroom Pizza.

I had Cod Roes and Scallop Gratin for my main dish, and my friend chose Spicy Mentai and Mushroom Pasta.

We thought that we’re already stuffed, but there are another promo using our student cards! I thought it would be just a simple scoop of ice cream, but then we had two PARFAITs!! and they’re totally free~~

Then we watched a movie, oh my, it’s a must watch movie. It’s fun, end of statement. Maybe you had watched Superbad? I think both of them are in same genre.

“Actually I am a doctor too”

the doctor replied, “I knew it, you are a dentist. You kept repeating it last night. But hey you are only a dentist, not a doctor!”

Haha, feels like a slap! But it’s okay, it’s a joke afterall.

Another cheesy post? I knew it.

But it’s okay, since our lovely friend, Ksenya, was nicely captured…

As we saw the exit sign, we knew that other amazing places were waiting for us…

they called it “mushroom rain”…

But hey, we thought we’re so lucky on that day, the sky then became so clear…

It’s a perfect time to have a boat trip passing through those elegant rivers…

But hey, we could capture the best guide ever, our friendly Izabella… “Spasiba!” for everything…

It was so great, great, and great…We couldn’t agree more! 

Unfortunately, we had to go…

Went back home? No!

We just couldn’t say goodbye yet to Russia,

We went for Moscow, to have another atmosphere of Russia…

We will definitely miss you, St. Petersburg!!!

From Russia with Love

Just got back from Russia
It was MARVELOUS trip and so much making me refreshed, since recently I must finish something and other stuffs.

 

And these pics i shot from my phone are quite some previews about it, until my Colorsplash and Diana are ready for showing off their fierce shots…hahah..

Some fun facts about Russia that i had found (Maybe some of these  facts happen in mostly Europe):

• They sell mineral water in two types: still water – just simple and ordinary one and sparkling water – water filled in with gas, similar like soda.
• The Russian words written in Cyrilic letters. They are not much in numbers like Kanji letter, it’s easier to memorize them all. But as I heard that Russian language is one of the most difficult languages to learn because its complicated grammar.
• The Russian cuisines are damn great!! The breads are tasty  even for the simple bread one without adding butter on it. Pirog or I see it like “Russian pie” is definitely my favourite, the bread could be stuffed with some kind of fruits or meats, like beef, chicken, salmon, or even rabbit. Other cuisines such as lamb, soup, fish, and the vegetables are such an entertainment for my tongue. Oh yeah one thing you shouldnt miss to try is the caviar, it’s a treasure.

• You will see vodka sold in many restaurants, since it is called ”Russian water”. In many shops, You’ll also see the famous Matreshka or russian wooden dolls in different kind of size, color, form, and the picture on it.
• There are so many historical buildings like museum and its valuable collections inside it, church, monument, fortress, and so on spreading out in cities of Russia with nicely designed architecture. So it’s a pleasure to have it as beautiful ornaments when you go out for city tour.

 

 

• The cost of living in Russia is quite expensive, and so for home to live. Mostly, Russians live in apartment which is so expensive too, and from info that I had heard there is apartment which costs 30 million $ in Moscow, correct me if I’m wrong.

 

• At past, for some years, Russians had no religion, they are atheist. But after Gorbachev made Russia to open their boundaries from other countries and to have a freedom of religion, it’s now changed. Mostly Russian have Russian Orthodox as their religion, some of them are Jewish or maybe Moslem, since the Sinagoge and Mosque do exist in Russia.
• There is a city named St. Petersburg has nights called “white  nights” because they have 6 nights in the summer and they are not dark, they remain like days with the sunlight. It’s so interesting.
• Another fun fact, usually when you are buying something you’ll get plastic bag for carrying your stuffs you’ve bought, but in some places of Russia, I found it in St. Petersburg, you must pay for the plastic bag, for about 3-7 Rubels for each plastic bag. Maybe it’s done for supporting efforts against global warming I guess.

Anyway I know there are still a lot of facts about Russia, especially for its historical part. But I admit that I’m weak on history lesson,  so just a little of them I can memorize and write to this blog, so just come to Russia to know more about it or just simply do Googling  it, heheh.

 

Ah Mr. Nykolay’s quote got stuck in my head, ” Russia and Indonesia have many differences, including cultures, languages or religions. We all do know we’re different. But don’t let those differences make the cooperation between two countries couldn’t be made “. Oh what a quote.

Well then, I think that’s enough, just wait for another update about Russia on my Lomograph part. See ya!

 

Officially 21

Haha, my 20 is officially ended by today, mine is 21 now.

Birthday for me is absolutely about improvement and all things I hope for my new age is just to concern on it.

If some of my resolutions in the beginning of this year are done, I’m already satisfied. I mean I try to be realistic.

When I review all things that I had done on my 20, I often meet dissapointment.

It happened because I try too hard, and wondered too much If I could get some fair rewards because I felt I did all things at my best.

But it often didn’t happen. It’s kind of a big slap.

Since then, okay, it’s time for me to be realistic. But still, do the best.

Especially, I’m on my way to finish my “half” study period, before I do for another half to be the dentist.

It’s now on my nerves, but I must do something about it. Hope it will be well done!

” To tell people how hard we’ve worked and believe we’ll be rewarded for it, that’s just an ideal. Reality doesn’t work that way, but once in a while we get our reward. That’s why we can give our best”

Anyway, HUGE thanks to those of them who give me congrats and good blessings. I appreciate it much!

Akhir-akhir ini di kampus gw lagi nge-hype si Plurk, situs yang isinya komen-komenan status gitu deh. Terus lagi diperbincangkan lah si Plurk ini pas gw dkk. lagi makan di kantin.

M: “P, lo punya account Plurk?”

P: “Punya, lo punya M?”

M: “Punya, tapi baru-baru ini aja bikin, lo udah lama bikinnya?”

P: “Oh kalo gw sih udah lama bikinnya….yah kira-kira udah seminggu lah…”

tararatara lama banget tuh brur, yah kira-kira udah 604.800 detik yang lalu lah..kakakak…piss..

Mbak-mbak Kostan

Kakak gw kebetulan kuliah di Bandung, jadi tinggal lah dia di sebuah kostan. Malangnya, dia pernah kehilangan HP di kostannya itu, dan sangat mungkin untuk mencurigai orang dalam, tak terkecuali salah satu mbak-mbak asisten rumah tangga kostannya. Tapi ya sudah bisa ditebak si doski ngeles sana sini. Daripada berargumentasi tidak berujung, kakak gw pun merelakan HP-nya. Tapi kakak gw gak pindah kostan karena udah terlanjur pewe ama kostannya itu.

Kemudian pada suatu hari, kakak gw mencari suatu barang di kamar kostannya yang habis diberesin sama si mbak. Tapi si barang ternyata gak ada di tempat semula, dicari di tempat lain pun gak ketemu. Jadi, kakak gw berinisiatif deh nanya sama si mbak:

Kakak Gw: “Mbak, tau barang yang saya taro tadi di situ di mana gak?”

Si Mbak: “Wah Mas, kalo yang itu sih gak saya ambil…”

Lah Mbak, jadi ada yang diambil dong ngomong-ngomong, ketauan deh…heheh..

CD Game Bajakan

Beberapa minggu lalu, baru saja dari Bandung. Kebetulan sempat berjalan-jalan di salah satu pusat elektronik kondang di Bandung dan mampir di salah satu gerai penjualan CD game bajakan, kemudian ada objek yang menarik perhatian:

NB: buat 2006, semangat yak menjalani kenyataan karil yang ada…mungkin ada yang tidak sesuai tim awal, atau tidak sesuai minat, tapi Insya Allah ada hikmahnya…*sok bijak…kita buktikan rame-rame kalo kita SANGAT BISA menyelesaikan karil kita dengan sukses top markotop, walaupun dengan kondisi sistem baru yang kurang kondusif dan kurang sosialisasi…moga-moga ada evaluasi biar gak ada lagi kejadian kayak 2006 sekarang, dan moga-moga keputusan fakultas yang udah final ini yang terbaik buat kita…Amin.

Say Hello to J-Dorama

Waktu luang bingung mau ngapain? bisa dicoba salah satunya dengan mencoba tontonan drama Jepang, yang sekarang dengan mudahnya bisa kita lihat di beberapa situs penyedia online drama. Sebenernya gw juga baru-baru ini aja nyoba nonton drama Jepang, demi meningkatkan skill bahasa Jepang gw (khususnya masalah listening, berharap jadi jago), tapi nyatanya tetep abal juga, karena udah ada subtitel bahasa Inggrisnya, jadi gak merhatiin lagi percakapan bahasa Jepangnya…heheh..

Gw tergelitik buat post ini karena drama Jepang gw pikir menyediakan tontonan berkualitas (tentu harus selektif juga sih) dengan berbagai varian tema yang tidak biasa. Dan satu nilai tambah lagi adalah, keseluruhan cerita hanya dikemas dalam maksimal belasan episode, jadi emang bener-bener padat, tidak bertele-tele, memiliki esensi di setiap episodenya, dan menghilangkan kesan dipanjang-panjangkan demi menaikkan rating, seperti layaknya sinetron Indonesia yang bisa mencapai ratusan episode bahkan sampai pemerannya awalnya beranak pinak atau malah diganti sama pemain lain…hehe, no offense…walaupun dulu ada juga serial yang menarik buat ditonton seperti serial Arisan atau juga Jomblo…mungkin gw belom nyoba buat nonton secara intensif kali yak, jadi belom tau cara menikmati sinetron Indonesia…

Bingung memulai dengan drama apa? Gw akan mencoba me-review salah satu drama dari beberapa yang layak tonton:

Zeni Geba

What’s more important than money? It’s someone’s heart

Drama ini berpusat pada Gamagori Futarou, seorang anak yang tidak pernah merasakan hidup berkecukupan sejak kecil, dengan ibu yang sakit-sakitan, dan bapak yang lepas tanggung jawab akan keluarganya sejak di-PHK. Too cliche? tunggu dulu… cerita pun berkembang di mana ibu Futarou meninggal akibat penyakitnya sampai akhirnya Futarou memiliki konsep hidup bahwa dia akan melakukan apapun untuk “mengalahkan” uang, memiliki pemikiran bahwa semua orang gila uang dan dia bisa mengontrol orang lain dengan uang. Konflik pun semakin memanas (caelah) dengan masuknya Futarou ke dalam keluarga Mikuni yang kaya, yang memang sudah direncanakan sebelumnya.

 

Yang menarik di sini adalah bagaimana cara Futarou untuk mencapai tujuannya. Bagaimana dia mengatur strategi pembunuhan, memperlihatkan perilaku dengan memikirkan efek psikologis orang sekitar, serta hal-hal lain yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan kepercayaan terhadap dirinya yang notabene orang miskin. Matsuyama Kenichi di sini menurut gw sangat sukses memerankan Futarou di mana dia bisa berakting terkesan polos sampai psych, walaupun kadang-kadang agak sulit untuk melepaskan image L (Death Note) dalam beberapa scene. Tapi yang gak kalah menarik adalah akting Shiina Kippei sebagai Gamagori Kenzo, ayah Futarou, yang sedikit banyak akan mempengaruhi rencana-rencana Futarou selanjutnya.

Walaupun cuma 9 episode yang masing-masingnya berdurasi kurang lebih 45 menit, semua cerita sudah terkemas dengan baik, tanpa membuat kita bingung dengan jalan ceritanya. Beberapa flashback ke masa kecil Futarou memperkuat kesan trauma Futarou, dan semakin mendukung Futarou untuk membenarkan konsep hidupnya. Setiap kejadian yang terjadi di sini memiliki maksud, bahkan sampai scene yang gw kira terlalu klise di awal (dengan kemunculan karakter yang sebenernya udah meninggal layaknya sinetron), ternyata ada esensinya juga. Satu nilai tambah lagi, final episode dari Zeni Geba ini memang pantas untuk menutup keseluruhan drama, puas!
